Approval of Minutes:
October 14, 2008 meeting minutes were approved with corrections.

Financial Report:
Current bank balance is $30,183.70.

Wakamatsu Colony Project:
Alan Erhgott, Executive Director of American River Conservancy (ARC), presented the history of the Wakamatsu Tea and Silk Colony in Gold Hill and project plans for the development of a historic park at the site. ARC is seeking additional funding by May, 2009, to acquire the land and existing buildings from the Veerkamp family and transform it into a historic park for all to enjoy. The National Park Service has been identified as a source of funding and eventual custodianship of this park. A motion was made and passed for the CLCC to write a letter of support for this project to Senator Barbara Boxer advocating funding in the new administration.

Coloma Blues Live:
A new contract with El Dorado Arts Council (EDAC) regarding CLCC partnership in the 2009 Coloma Blues Live event is still being negotiated by Marjorie with EDAC. The main issue is the compensation offered by EDAC to CLCC for beverage sales next year ($2000) versus this year ($8000).

The El Dorado County Visitors Authority will use existing tourism materials for the Coloma-Lotus area. It needs to be determined where to send destination advertising and collateral materials. Marjorie will contact providers for the upcoming Bridal Exposition in Sacramento.

An on-line membership drive needs to be started. A Paypal account for collecting membership dues should be set up by December 1.

CLCC as Subchapter of El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce:
The board of the EL Dorado Chamber of Commerce (EDCCC) has approved the status of CLCC as a subchapter. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOI) to this effect is forthcoming from the EDCCC.

CLCC Board of Directors:
The concept of forming an executive advisory committee versus the existing officer structure for CLCC was debated at length. Nominees for this committee, that is, members who have attended three or more meetings in the last year were identified by Marjorie as follows: Kathleen Ash, Judy Bacchi, Bob Dalton, Howard Penn, Craig Sanborn, Marjorie Sanborn, Betty Sederquist and Janice Stanley.

Plans for a New Years Eve party at the Bayley House as proposed by Henri Santos-Coy were discussed. A partnership with the Georgetown Recreational District (GTRD) will be required. The Divide Horseman's Association (DHA) might be a co-sponsor. A motion was made and passed for the CLCC to sponsor this event.
