Call to Order

Treasurer's Report: Current balance is $3240.25 after a recent payment of $1018.00 for brochure printing

Approval of Minutes: Last month's minutes were approved with corrections.

Guest Speaker: Mike Bean of the CLVCA was asked by the Cool/Pilot Hill Trails Group to come to our Chamber meeting and ask us to issue a letter of support for two improvement projects. There is no Chamber of Commerce in either Cool or Pilot Hill but we do have members in our Chamber from those areas. The trails group is trying to get a grant for a bathroom at the Cool staging area and wants to replace several trail bridges. The trails serve runners, walkers, mountain bikers and equestrians.

Motion to supports Mike's request was made, seconded and carried unanimously.

Community Cleanup/End of year Party: Judy made a presentation to have a community cleanup tentatively scheduled for mid-October. John Tillman and Judy will meet on their own time to develop a plan and report back to the Chamber at the September meeting.

Budget Dues Subcommittee: The committee was unable to meet and so will report at the September meeting. A possible proposal for a new dues structure is to have multi-tiered membership levels.

New Business: The annual El Dorado Chamber Mixer is at The Sierra Nevada House from 5:30-7:30 with BBQ, live music and no host bar. Coloma-Lotus Chamber members get one free ticket.

John Tillman of Gold Hill Olive Oil Co. offered to host the next chamber meeting on September 9th.
